Shipping Department

Cigas Machine Shop, Inc. is a stainless steel manufacturer committed to quality, efficiency, and customer satisfaction. We're currently seeking reliable and dependable individuals to join our Shipping Department. Candidates with experience or a background in manufacturing and shipping are encouraged to apply. Cigas Machine Shop offers excellent benefits, competitive pay, and opportunities for financial growth. We're currently seeking a dedicated, detail-oriented Shipper for 1st shift. This role is essential in ensuring our products are shipped accurately and delivered on time.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

    Preferred Skills:

    • Previous experience in shipping, receiving, or logistics within a manufacturing environment is required

    • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

    • Basic math skills required

    • Fork lift driving experience is a plus, however we will train the right candidate

    • Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a fastpaced team environment

    Essential Duties:

    • Prepare, pack and process shipments according to company and customer requirements

    • Verify outgoing shipments by comparing items to orders and ensuring accuracy in labeling and documentation

    • Must be able to operate hand tools

    • Must be able to follow instructions, sketches, drawings and prints

    • Maintain a clean work area

    • Familiar with types and qauges of stainless steel material

    • Maintain inventory records and update shipping logs as needed

    • Operate fork lifts and other warehouse equipment to load and unload shipments

    • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
